In a world of computers and machines, many things have become automated. While this is great for many applications, it has not been the greatest for the field of etching memorials. Many etchings out there are done by an automated laser etching machine, ran by a computer. Laser etching machines produce an image that may look fine from afar, but look grainy and low resolution up close. The other issue with this process is that it doesn't "etch" deep enough into the stone, which leads to issues with visibility of the etching over time.

We are fortunate enough to have an amazing artist who has the ability to do etchings the old fashioned way - by hand. A process that takes a little longer, but produces impeccable works of art that cannot come close to being replicated, even by the newest machines on the market.
